Something Blue – The Wedding Gin Tradition

Something Blue was first created by Colin and Jessica McLean to celebrate their own wedding in June 2018. Initially intended as a limited-edition release of just 150 bottles, it quickly struck a chord. And soon became the McLean’s most popular expression. The award-winning wedding gin was given a fresh look in 2021, with the elegant lace design on the bottle paying tribute to Jessica’s own wedding dress.

A Wedding Gin With Real Flavour

Its unique flavour profile is the result of a carefully considered combination of seven key botanicals, with a particular focus on the marriage of the makers’ personal favourites: tonka beans and buchu leaves. Delicate, floral and lightly spiced, it’s a delight on the palate. And, when mixed with tonic, its natural colour-changing effect, from deep blue to soft pink. This adds an extra touch of magic to any wedding celebration.
We’re incredibly proud that Something Blue is now made by Jackton Distillery under the watchful eye of Colin himself. He ensures every bottle of wedding gin is just as tasty and special as the very first one he crafted for his own big day.
