RAER Wine & Whisky: A Perfect Pairing – Our Collaboration with Domaine des Déserts
If you’d told us a few years ago that we’d be running our own whisky distillery and hosting RAER wine tastings in the same space, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are!
We’ve always loved whisky (obviously), but we’re also big fans of a good glass of wine. That’s why we jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with Domaine des Déserts, an incredible winery producing some truly special bottles. We’ve spent the last few months working together to bring a selection of RAER wine to Jackton Distillery, and recently, we got to celebrate the partnership in the best way possible. With a wine tasting at the distillery!
A Night to Remember at Jackton Distillery
We’re used to pouring drams of whisky, but there was something pretty amazing about filling glasses with crisp whites and deep reds in our own space. The tasting night was a chance to introduce our whisky-loving community to something different and showcase how RAER wine and whisky actually have a lot in common. From the way they’re made to how they develop over time.
The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, exactly how we wanted it to be. Guests had the chance to taste, compare, and chat about the RAER wine, all while surrounded by the very whisky barrels that will soon hold our own future releases. It was great to see people really engaging with the flavours, asking questions, and discovering new favorites.
Why RAER Wine? Why Now?
Some people might wonder why a whisky distillery is getting involved in wine, but for us, it just makes sense. Whisky and RAER wine both tell a story. About where they come from, how they’re made, and the people behind them. They’re both crafted with patience, precision, and passion, and they’re both best enjoyed with great company.
This collab with Domaine des Déserts is about more than just stocking a few bottles. We’re all about bringing people together over amazing drinks, whether that’s whisky, RAER wine, or whatever else we might dream up in the future.
