38,000+ trees planted &
carbon sequestration
We have planted over 38,000 trees, which sequester approximately 182,190 kg of CO2 annually, playing a vital role in climate action.
Additionally, our sustainable farming practices allow our soil to sequester 792,900 kg of CO2 annually, significantly reducing atmospheric carbon while enriching biodiversity.
Hydrogen & solar-powered
clean energy solutions
We have hydrogen generators on-site, aiming to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and transitioning to clean, renewable energy.
Furthermore, our owners manage the charity run location K-Park, there, we have installed solar panels to generate sustainable electricity, supporting community initiatives while lowering environmental impact.
Recycling steam water for sustainable distillation
Our steam water recycling system optimizes water use during production, allowing us to reduce waste and enhance energy efficiency. By reusing steam condensate, we cut down on water consumption, ensuring a low-impact distillation process.
Farm-to-glass: locally grown barley to reduce transport emissions
We prioritise using our own locally grown barley,
significantly reducing emissions associated with transporting malt from across the country or overseas. This
farm-to-glass approach supports Scottish agriculture while cutting unnecessary CO2 emissions from logistics.
Bottle refill & recycling scheme
To minimize waste, we have introduced a bottle refill scheme. Customers can bring back their empty bottles for refilling, and any returned bottles are properly recycled, significantly reducing packaging waste and promoting a circular economy
Sustainable packaging for all orders
We aim to use fully recyclable packaging, eliminating single-use plastics. We ask our customers to recycle our packaging, knowing it aligns with global eco-friendly shipping standards
Conservation & support of K-Woodlands
Our owners actively manage 15.37 hectares of local woodland, transforming it into a thriving habitat for wildlife and biodiversity. We encourage whisky lovers and nature enthusiasts to explore K-Woodlands, where our sustainability efforts come to life in a breathtaking natural environment
