The Jackton Christmas Market: a winter weekend we’re still talking about

A crisp Lowland morning, the yard starting to buzz, the first coffee poured, music warming the air, and stalls filling up with proper Christmas finds. The sort you actually want to give. The sort you are quietly tempted to keep…

Back in December 2025, we opened our doors for two full days of festive shopping, local makers, food, drink, and that unmistakable distillery-in-winter atmosphere. This blog is a little look back, plus a small promise: we’re already building toward the next one.

A Christmas market built for local makers

Jackton has always been rooted in community, so our Christmas Market was designed the same way.

We wanted a place where independent creators could shine, where you could chat to the person who made the thing you’re buying, and where “gifting local” feels easy. Ceramics, candles, jewellery, artwork, homewares, small-batch treats, and the kind of stocking fillers that do not end up in a drawer by Boxing Day.

That weekend was the ‘Season of RAER’ in a nutshell: warm, welcoming, full of flavour, and made for sharing.

Two days, two line-ups, twice the reasons to visit

One of our favourite parts was simple: different traders each day.

It meant Saturday had its own character, Sunday had its own discoveries, and coming back felt genuinely worth it. If you missed a stall the first day, you did not miss your chance. You got another go, with a fresh set of makers to meet.

If you’re the kind of person who loves a proper browse, this is your sign. Next time, do both days.

Street food, live music, and a warming sip

A Christmas market should feel like a wee outing, not an errand.

So, we leaned into the good stuff: street food, live music, and a bar that knows how to do festive. We also poured free samples of our own gins, whiskies and wines, with a different line-up across the two days.

All ages were welcome, and the atmosphere stayed relaxed throughout. A market you can bring the family to, then linger a little longer than planned.

The gift shop was open, too

If you popped into the distillery shop during market weekend, you’ll have seen the shelves dressed for gifting season.

From bottles to giftable extras, it was all there for the “I need something special” moments, plus the “I forgot about them” moments. We love both. No judgement.
