OUR STORY

Our Single Malt journey began in February 2020, when we filled our first cask at Jackton Distillery. In 2026, that journey reached a major milestone with the release of our first RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Jackton continues to grow with the same long-term aim: bringing more of the whisky-making process onto our own land. We are building towards a true grain-to-glass model, with our own barley, on-site production and bottling, and a transparent approach to how our whisky is made. It is progress in motion, and we want visitors to see that journey for themselves.

Welcome to Jackton Distillery, home of RAER Scotch Whisky, Jackton Gin, Jackton Vodka and Something Blue Gin. As a young, female-led family distillery, we’re here to make whisky feel open, welcoming and worth exploring.

On 12 February 2020, our team filled the first cask of what would become RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky. In 2026, The Inaugural Release opened the next chapter in our distillery story. Distilled, matured and bottled at Jackton, it reflects the patience, cask selection and hands-on approach that define our family-run Lowland distillery.

Our cask programme draws influence from around the world, including sherry casks from Jerez, bourbon casks from Kentucky and oak from France. That global influence is shaped here at Jackton, where we stay close to the spirit from production through maturation and bottling. As an independent Scotch producer, we also keep a close eye on the wider industry environment, including the debate around whisky duty and taxation.

Our RAER Original Blend was created to make Scotch whisky approachable, whether you enjoy it neat, over ice or in a Highball. Alongside it sit our sherry-cask expressions and RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Inaugural Release, the first chapter in our Single Malt story.

Something Blue Gin remains part of the family too, created for weddings, celebrations and the moments people want to remember.

Across the range, our approach stays the same: make good liquid, explain it clearly and give people confidence to enjoy it their way.

At Jackton, grain to glass is our direction of travel. We are building towards a more self-sufficient distillery, bringing more of the process onto our own land over time. We recycle water, reuse spent grain for local feed, source recyclable packaging and operate a bottle-return scheme. We treat sustainability as progress to show, rather than a finished claim. We have also documented that progress through our Green Tourism Bronze and Green Tourism Silver milestones.

Making spirits takes talent. Every drop of RAER is a work of art. It’s a team effort. Our team at Jackton Distillery have pride and passion for the spirits they create and are involved in every part of the process. They aren’t just employees; they are experts in their field, producing some of the finest spirits in the Scottish Lowlands.
